FAQs - kellyardoinphotography

What is your service area?

My primary service area includes a 25 mile radius from my address in Bogart, Georgia. This area includes parts of Oconee, Clarke, Walton, Morgan, Greene, Oglethorpe, Madison, Jackson, and Barrow counties. I will travel up to 50 miles round trip from Bogart at no charge. Please see the Information page of my website for specific pricing on travel.

What is your rescheduling policy?

I charge a $50 fee for photo shoots that are cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time or if I arrive at a property that is clearly not ready for photographs to be taken. If it is necessary to reschedule a shoot due to inclement weather, I will do so at no additional charge.

How long does a typical photo shoot take?

The length of a photo shoot varies based on the size of the home, but is generally between two and four hours.

How long does is take to get the photographs delivered once the photo shoot is complete?

In most cases I am able to process and deliver the finished photographs within 48 hours of completing the shoot.

How are the photographs delivered?

I upload the finished photographs in jpeg format to Drop Box and then send a link to the folder. I will upload the images in high resolution, sized specifically for the MLS system, and sized specifically for Zillow. I can also upload them in any other size or format upon request.

How many photographs are included in a shoot?

I take as many photographs as needed to represent the home in its best light.  I do not quote a set number of photographs for any particular number of square feet as each home is unique. I choose the angle from which I photograph a room very carefully and I compose each image in order to highlight the best and most important features in the room. My photographs show prospective buyers both what the property looks like while also giving them a sense of what it feels like to be in the home.

Does someone need to be present at the property during the photo shoot?

No. I am comfortable working alone as long as the property owner has granted permission, but  homeowners and agents are welcome to stay during the shoot. I leave that decision to the client based on his or her comfort level. I am extremely careful while I am photographing a home, but I do have a liability insurance policy in place as an extra precaution.

Are there any special instructions for preparing the property prior to the photo shoot?

Yes!  I provide a checklist to my clients prior to the photo shoot. The checklist gives suggestions of ways to make a home look its best for the photographs. This information can also be found on the Prepare Your Home page on my website.

Do I own the copyright to the photos once I have paid for the photo shoot?

No. I retain all copyrights to the photographs. I grant clients a license to use the photographs for the duration of the property listing. The license is granted to the person who pays for the photo shoot.
